Marco Enriquez, began teaching Spanish at the Community College of Rhode Island in 1996. Professor Enriquez  recognized a critical need for all persons to have the opportunity to advance their communication skills in order to build better understanding and cooperation between the English and Spanish speaking communities of Rhode Island. As a direct result of his experience with many people who wish to improve their lives by developing their language skills, he founded Spanish World Academy in Rhode Island, USA in 2000.
